In Fuerteventura you can do lot of sports, both outdoor and in the various facilities available throughout the island.

Among canarios sports practiced on the island, there are the following:

The fight takes place inside a circle, usually sand. In it, two fighters are bull fighttrying to pin the other face down.  This takes place in all municipalities, except Betancuria:

Pajara: Miguel Diaz Terrero The Lajita, Morro Jable and Terrero Terrero of Pajara.

Fuerteventura federated clubs include the following:

Water Sports
The sea and weather conditions make the island perfect for practicing a wide variety of water sports such as surfing, windsurfing and kiteboarding.

The island has many schools (and courses devoted to learning these sports.   Corralejo, considered the best area of the island to surf, relax and go for aFuerteventura cycling1 drink and party!   Windsurfing and kitesurfing are those that have the greatest impact at the international windsurfing and kite surfing compeititions, thanks to the annual celebration of the 1985 International Championship of Kiteboarding and Windsurfing in Fuerteventura Playas de Sotavento, in the municipality of Pajara.

This championship brings together leading figures from the world of windsurfing and kite surfing such as the several times world champion Bjoörn Dunkerbeck, living in Tarifa Gisela Pulido.
Diving
As with surfing and windsurfing, you can find schools of diving along the coast of Fuerteventura. Unlike most islands in the archipelago, Fuerteventura has a platform that in some places reaches 30km, making it ideal for this sport.

Two more points are used for diving off the coast of Playa del Matorral and the area between Isla de Lobos and Corralejo in the north. It is here in Corralejo, that it is celebrated every year with the International Festival of the Sea and Underwater Imaging, known as Fimarsub Isla de Lobos, Corralejo.  During this event you can attend introductory courses, professional diving courses and underwater photography competitions, screenings and events connected with the sport.

Natacion
On the island there are many facilities for practicing this sport, but the test is practiced in the open sea. This is the swimming Crossing: Isla de Lobos-Fuerteventura Island, which has been held every year since 1999.  At this crossing there are mainly amateur swimmers from the Canary Islands, Spain as well as professional swimmes David Meca, Maarten Van der Weijden and Paralympic Alarcon Jesus Collado, who won a gold medal at 100 meters and 100 meters butterfly back in 2004 in Athens.

Also practiced are various forms of water sports on board vessels. Of these sports, held on the island are sailing competitions, for example.   An interesting event is the Tour of Fuerteventura Kayak, organized in stages rather than competition, as a simple way to play sport and learn about the island.  Another sport that could be involved in this category is fishing in the Open Fishing Competition of Great Tarajal highlights.

Other Sports

Paco Romero, eliminated “by finger” at Skoda Franquiz Javier and Juan Manuel Fuentes (champions of land in 1999) during the Rally de La Oliva in 2000.
In addition to the above, on the island other sports are practiced:
Cycling:  Since 2004 there has been held the La Marcha Cycling Oliva, involving both amateurs and professionals.  These competitions and activities, have helped increase interest in the sport on the island to the point of having formed the first professional cycling team from the Canary Islands, which initially was directed by Oscar Guerrero.
There are several Motocross circuits on the Island, including the Los Alares in Antigua and the island of Fuerteventura, in the municipality of Puerto del Rosario. These tests usually take place normally, some of them valid for the Regional Championship Motocross de Canarias.

There are rally competitions in Fuerteventura, including the Championship Rally Tierra de Canarias. These tests are rated Rallye Rally Antigua and La Oliva.

Football:  The greatest football clubs are referred to as being Pajara Athletic Union Beach, Union Deportiva Jandia Fuerteventura, teams who play in Group II of the Second Division B of Spain.
